Daniel grew up in the beautiful port town of Malahide in Ireland, attended Trinity College Dublin, earned a doctorate in Computation and Neural Systems at Caltech, followed by a research fellowship at University College London. We will discuss how he became fascinated with understanding complex systems, leading to his research in understanding the brain.
